Thanks a lot for these fine scripts. They work great out of the box.

I suggest anybody who use this to setup a tiled window manager, like bluetile. That makes something like gummi definitely looking pale.

Pandoc works really great. It is even possible to convert from .tex to .docx. That was exactly what I was looking for. Thank you all so much!

I'm not really a programmer, and don't really have the inclination to set up something like that just for this. And I haven't made any changes for quite a while. It's GPL though so if you want to take my code and upload it there or anywhere else and take charge of further developments, be my guest.

Your script is great. But would you mind uploading this script to GitHub http://github.com or somewhere similar, thus we could easily follow your update and help you improve your script? I think this would be better.

I'm seeing best looking html with --mathjax, but its rendered dynamically so I'm not sure what's best for conversion purposes.

Gilberto, give this a try pandoc –s --mathjax –o flename.tex filename.html

Believe it or not, my computer has a 3.5" floppy drive. I'm not sure I've ever used it, but it's there just in case. I wonder if I have any 5 1/4" drives lying around anywhere.

This is going to sound crazy, but lately the biggest turn off to lout is that it doesn't handle spaces between sentences well. Depending on settings, it seems to do either one space or two. LaTeX's default behavior is somewhere around a space and half, which I think is very attractive.

You could carry it around on a floppy, but you’d have a tough time finding a place to put that floppy these days
